Lewis Suddick
Joined us this season from Bishop Auckland, having played for teams such as Newcastle United, Whitby Town, Whitley Bay and Hebburn to name a few. Technically very good, Lewis can play in several advanced positions. Lewis can beat an opponent 1v1 or receive in good spaces between the lines, whilst having a good range of passing and an eye for goal.
Adam Johnson
Joined the club this season (21/22) from Blyth Town. An Ashington born player, who works tirelessly as a forward both in and out of possession. Adams direct running and pace creates chances for both himself and other players.
Karl Dryden
A Goalkeeper who needs no introduction to fans of the club having played under Gary Middleton. Karl then went on to have four highly successful years at Morpeth Town where he won the FA Vase, before moving to Dunston UTS where he again had an impressive two-year spell lifting the Northern League First Division title and gaining promotion.

A box-to-box midfielder who made over 40 appearances last season, scoring twice. Club captain Karl is the longest serving player at Ashington after joining his hometown club from South Shields over 6 years ago. He has also played for Whitley Bay. Won the player’s ‘player of the year’ award last season.
Yannick Aziakonou
A former product of the Newcastle United academy, Yannick is a player who offers versatility with the ability to play as a holding midfield player, Centre Back or Left Fullback. Yannick is strong and powerful and another player who is comfortable on the ball and likes to play.

Robbo re-joins the Colliers for the 2024/25 season after a year with Newcastle Blue Star. A veteran winger with plenty of tricks, Robbo was a huge part of Ashington’s success in recent years, scoring twice in Ashington’s 4-1 Northern League Cup final win over Newcastle Benfield in 2022, and then playing a major part in Ashington’s hugely successful 2022/23 campaign as the Colliers won the Cleator Cup, reached the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round and gained promotion to the Northern Premier League after a 3-0 play-off final win at Glossop North End. After playing professionally with Tranmere Rovers, Grimsby Town and York City early in his career, Paul would go on to win the FA Vase on 3 occasions with Whitley Bay and North Shields. Robbo has also played for Darlington, Blyth Spartans, Bedlington Terriers and Morpeth Town during his illustrious career.

Attacking midfielder Spoons is now in his fourth season at Ashington after making the move from North Shields in 2021. A former Newcastle United youngster, Craig went on to play for Whitley Bay and West Auckland Town. A very versatile player that has covered in both full-back positions. A set piece specialist who scored Ashington’s first goal back in the Northern Premier League with a stunning free-kick against Brighouse Town on the opening day last season. Spoons made 39 appearances last season, scoring 5 goals.
