Harrison Clark

Ashington born Harrison was Nicky Gray’s first signing as Colliers manager, making the move to up the spine road from Blyth Spartans. After spending his early career in Scotland with Livingston, Arbroath, Stirling Albion and Kelty Hearts, where he won the Scottish League Two title, midfielder Harrison returned to England signing for Gateshead.

Gary Ormston

Veteran midfielder who recently took up a coaching role at the club. Gary joined Ashington from Newcastle Blue Star last November, going on to make 23 appearances for the Colliers last season. An FA Vase winner with Whitley Bay back in 2011, Gary was also part of the North Shields side that won the Northern League title in 2022.

Karl Ross

A box-to-box midfielder who made over 40 appearances last season, scoring twice. Club captain Karl is the longest serving player at Ashington after joining his hometown club from South Shields over 6 years ago. He has also played for Whitley Bay. Won the player’s ‘player of the year’ award last season.

Paul Robinson

Robbo re-joins the Colliers for the 2024/25 season after a year with Newcastle Blue Star. A veteran winger with plenty of tricks, Robbo was a huge part of Ashington’s success in recent years, scoring twice in Ashington’s 4-1 Northern League Cup final win over Newcastle Benfield in 2022, and then playing a major part in Ashington’s hugely successful 2022/23 campaign as the Colliers won the Cleator Cup, reached the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round and gained promotion to the Northern Premier League after a 3-0 play-off final win at Glossop North End. After playing professionally with Tranmere Rovers, Grimsby Town and York City early in his career, Paul would go on to win the FA Vase on 3 occasions with Whitley Bay and North Shields. Robbo has also played for Darlington, Blyth Spartans, Bedlington Terriers and Morpeth Town during his illustrious career.
